MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WON'T GO AWAY?

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT tells you one of TWO related things! Either the AIR/FUEL mixture is going off track or the CONVERTER is overheating! BOTH are related! START by going to an OI CHANGE PLACE and having the the THROTTLE BODY and IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE cleaned out! Run GUMOUT and AMSOIL POWER FOAM through your PCV valve to restore GOOD ring condition! AUTO ONE doe FREE code readings, but PLAN on having the IAC and T body CLEANED UP FIRST! You ONLY add AIR to your engine with your FOOT pedal! It is NOT a GAS pedal like on older cars! The AIC adds MORE air as required by e\sensors to make a GOOD AIR/FUEL mixture! SMELL your dipstick to see if it has FUEL smeel to it! This ALSO comes from a dirty IAC valve! FACTORY OIL was ENEOS oil from JAPAN! NOBODY uses VALVOLINE at any factory ANYWHERE! Neither should YOU!

The air filter is just the beginning, keep throwing parts at it until you're out of money, then get the code read for free and find out what's really wrong.

HI, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS A WARNING OF A PENDING ISSUE. BRING YOUR CAR IN TO HAVE A MECHANIC PULL A CODE FOR A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON YOUR CAMRY. NEGLECTING THIS WARNING CAN LEAD TO MAJOR ENGINE TROUBLE. *** DON'T HESITATE ANY LONGER ! *** ENGINES ARE VERY EXPENSIVVE TO REPLACE.

Without the trouble code, you're shooting blind. Get the code read. That's why they're there. Read this

Take the car to an auto parts place and have them retrieve the trouble code. we can go from there. Have you checked to see if your transmission fluid is full?

I drive a 1999 Camry LE and my check engine light has been on for forever and as of now it has 147k miles.

Long story short while I am driving, here and there my RPM will go up and down while in first and second gear.

I changed the engine air filter but I am not sure what other problem this could be!
