A "tesla coil" to a certain extent are banned by the federal communications agency because of the interference with the other frequencies- air line or police radio traffic etc.. Tesla coil's emit frequencies of their own and can cause interference with the other frequency bands etc.--they also affect the polarity of our atmosphere make the polarity "less" and causing atmospheric disturbances like the "red rains of kerala" in india--etc.--making organic matter lift up off the surface of the planet and become airborne into the upper strata -then upon entering the atmosphere burning up and becoming burnt organic matter in rainfall etc.----tesla coils positively charge the ions in our atmosphere, making the polarity less- because of the north and south poles and positively and negatively charging etc.--you gotta ask a astro-bio Physicist about that to explain it in calculus terms-but tesla coils are harmful in alot of ways-einstein and metz(no I'm not jewish) beat Nicoli Tesla in a scientific court of law on the harmful effects on the coil etc.---so its use has to be controlled completely etc. or we lose everything.-good luck.
