Why is my car making a creaking noise?

From what you said about creaking when you hit bumps, it sounds like you blew up one of your shock absorbers or damaged a spring. It's definitely damage to a suspension component. You could possibly have also knocked your wheel out of alignment.

You're probably looking at less than $200 in parts, plus whatever the shop charges to fix it.

What first comes to mind is the alignment or the suspension. The two systems work hand in hand and so it'd be difficult to say exactly which one it is without taking a look at it. Another possibility would be a brake problem but I'd say that's unlikely.

I suggest you have it looked at ASAP as an alignment problem that severe will cost you in tire life, fuel economy, and possibly more. The last time I had an alignment done was $50. If you didn't break any parts it should not cost more than $100 or so.

It seems like there may be an issue with your suspension or one of its components. We recommend bringing your vehicle to your local Kia dealership service department to have it checked. Good luck!

All depends on how much damage you did when you hit the curb, also how fast to were driving.

I have a 2005 Kia sorento .couple of weeks ago I hit a curb on accident in the front & now when I drive it, it makes a screeching noise or when I hit a bump and iT's so annoying! Or when I push down on the car I can hear it. I can hear it on the drivers side mostly. Just curious if anybody knows What it might be? I'm going to a shop to get it looked at this week & also if anyone knows how much it would be to get fixed? Please & thanks.?
