i drive a 2011 bmw 328i xdrive that needs some new spark plugs they are like 5 dollars i just need to know how to replace them or at least some advice

Changing plugs is a lot like PAINTING! It takes MORE TIME to prepare the thing than to pout the NEW PLUGS IN! YOumust use DENSO or BOSCH iridium plugs in there, and if you have NOT bee n uding oi lwith the EUROPEAN APPROVAL RATING OF "LONG LIFE" you wil have SLDUGE inside! Check for sludge by flipping the OIL FILCAP OVER! if you see WAXY, WAVY or CRUSTY FLAKY brownish deposits YOU HAVE SLDUGE IN THERE in ALL moving parts! It must be REEMOVED! NEVER USE VALVOINE< a HIGH ASH content oil that turns BACK into the WAX and TAR it came from! ALL EURO CARS need specail LOW SAULFUR EURO OLIS and SYNTHETIC foluids! MOBIL ONE0W_40 is ONE OF THESE OIOLS! TAke $20-50 to ANY OI LCAHNGE PLACE and have yoru THROTTLE BODY and IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE cleaend up to SHOWRROM CLEAN! there is a FLAME TRAP or OILSEPE|ARATOR VLVE that lives UDNER your intkae minfiold! it msut be REMVOED AND CLEANED or REPLACED before installing NEW PLUGS! POWER WASH engine with GUNK ORANGE as well to remove ALL ROAD A|SALT and leaking fluids or DEBRIS from under th hood! <<> remove the COILS and use the 58's SLUG WRENCH to remove the plugs! if you have NEVER done this before, the temptation is to tighten NE PLUGS TOO TIGHT! Only about 189frt-lbs of r\pressure can be used! TOO TIGHT and you strip the ALLOY and have a BIG MESS ON YOUR HANDS! Your fine BMW engine has OIL SPRAY JETS inside it, and WAX based oil will RUIN it's dynamics! you only have a FEW choices for oil! PENNZOIL ULTRA EURO gives a 15 year 500k mile OIL WARRANTY< AMSOIL for BMW is good for 25k miles between changes! Nearly ALL added expenses on ANY EURO car are due to the use of IMPROPER OILS and FLUIDS at local OIL CHANGE CENTERS! ALL BMW fluids come from the PENTOSIN company of Germany! They are ALL FULLY SYNTHETIC FLUIDS that are ECOLOGICALLY SAFE! EURO gas and oil is LOW IN SULFUR! WE FINALLY have low sulfur fuels here. I have tuned and worked on TONS of BMW cars from all different years! use 1-800-ALL-EURO as a source for a replacement FLAME TRAP or PCV system! There is an UPDATED KIT called the WINTER PACKAGE! The FLAME TRAP lives under the INTAKE MANIFOLD and you have to remove it to get there! A DIRTY or CLOGGED UP FALEM TRAP will cause POWER LOSS< lower rpm running, and eventual CONVERTER and EXHAUST issues as well! IT STARTS with the first BAD OIL CHANGE using the WRONG OIL TYPES! YOu should NOT NEED NEW PLUGS till about 100k miles or so! I am MORE concerned abut the OILs you may have used init! BYE NOW! WHICH PLUGS are you using here! IRIDIUM ONES are the RIGHT ONES! BYE NOW!

You follow the wire that connects to the engine. Carefully take out the plastic cover it has. Or rubber or whatever. Then u should be able to see it qnd visualize how to take it out. Look it up on youtube first though so u have an idea. Theres ton of those.

You don't change them until 100,000 miles. They cost around $12 each. You remove the valve cover then each coil to get to the spark plugs.
