P0463 Fuel Level Sensor Circuit High Input

Apparently it still isn't fixed.

P0463 code. the problem is usually a cracked ceramic fuel float omh board that sends the resistance to the proper heater that sends it to the gage. I've taken mine apart and tried to find the cracked littled circuit board but no can do. I tried 7 wrecking yards that all have the part as an assembly but I asked them to send a picture of the unit and ever single one was also broken circuit board. so car is in garage, gas tank removed until i find that part cheaper than 500.00 that the dealer wants.

ps find the part before you remove the tank. good thing i have 6 cars :) !!!

You fixed it how? The sending unit needs to be replaced, or it's bad connection repaired, whichever is the defect. When the sending unit wears out, you pull it out of the gas tank and put in a new one. Look in Chilton's Auto Repair manual to see how you do that the right way, instead of the way you did it the first time.

you say you fixed it but its still broke. i had the same thing happen since i was hit in the back. is their a easy fix to get the check engine light off. i can deal with out a guage.

My car has been reading empty for awhile. And the check engine light has been on. I brought it to the dealer and the dealer said the problem was the fuel sending unit. The dealer was gonna charge me close to 700$ To fix it. I fixed it myself for a fraction of the cost. I reset the computer and it's still reading as empty. The check engine light is still on. The code it's reading is p0463.

Does anyone have any insight on what this problem might be?
