What is going on is that you cannot afford this car or any car. If you cannot afford to buy gasoline. why do you have a car for? One gallon typically delivers 20 to 30 miles, depending on about 50 different factors. A typical tank holds 14 to 16 gallons of fuel. To measure one gallon and possibly 1/4 to 1/2 more it is impossible. Sell the car.
Gas gauge won't show a lousy 1 gallon and change.
HI 5 bucks is only a little over a gallon its not going to really show that..
