Does it make sense to convert these dimensions?

No, it does make sense. unit of distance can not be converted into a unit of velocity.

1 kilometer is 3,2808 feet, these are units of length. Velocity is distance (length)/time. If you could cover 3,2808 feet in 1 second, your velocity = 3,2808 feet per sec or 1 km/sec since

3,2808 feet/ sec = 1 km/sec.

At 60 miles per hour a car travels 1 mile in 1 minute

and since 1 mile = 1.61 km

1 mile/minute = 1.61 km/ minute

Ken you are playing with apples and oranges

apples 3,2808 Ft=9.999909Kilometers DISTANCE

oranges 3,2808 feet per second is equivalent to 9.999909Kilometers per second VELOCITY

Ken, you have a good intuitive sense. You are right. It can't be done.

3.2808ft to km/s

It seems like you can just

(3.2808ft * 1000km) * (1/3600s)

but does it make sense? If it does make sense, then i cannot visualize a unit of distance being converted into a unit of velocity.
