Yes. Seafoam leaves an oily coating that attracts dirt, and the performance will start to suffer after a few months (depends how dusty you climate is - here in Arizona it takes about 2 months). My son used it every two months for about a year before he got tired of it and cleaned the intake with Mopar Combustion Chamber Cleaner; cheaper, safer, easier to use, more effective, and non-addicting. He hasn't had to mess with the intake since then.
That oily coating also makes emission tests difficult a month or two, as it feeds hard-to-burn hydrocarbons into the intake. That can raise the HC beyond limits.
Will the engine turn into a Seafoam junkie? Is that what you mean? Seafoam is a total waste of money. It's marketed to impressionable customers that are persuaded it has some magic effect. If it were effective the car manufacturers would recommend it.
No, engines aren't subject to addiction.
yea just like any other drug if you start using a lot it will get addicted, if you stop quickly the whole car will shake when you stop :D
jk but no its a bonus you should/could do every 5,000-10,000 any where earlier and too much and you will actually do worse ( since you'll be diluting the fuel )
No. Your motor won't become addicted to it.
