Sorry to hear you are having a concern with the a/c system on your 2008 Dodge truck.

I checked for Technical Service Bulletins but could not find anything related to a/c concern you described.

I understand it can be costly and inconvenient but you may want to consider having the vehicle diagnosed by your local authorized Ram Service Department or a trusted mechanic to determine exactly what needs to be done on the a/c system.

you can just replace the clutch but it will cause you a lot of money itll just be easier to buy the whole set which is easier and probably cheapper and better so you wont have to spend more money on it and wont have another problem but you can find it online for way cheapper than that. you can even go to a junk yard and get it there,

just replace the clutch, around $30 for the part and about $100 to install it,

have a shop look at it first and see what you need .

Give us some more information.

Auto store worker looked under truck and hood and says it looks like the A/C clutch is burned out. Says whole a/c system needs replaced. Have me quote for parts $500+. Is this true? Or can just the clutch be replaced? It is a 2008 dodge 2500 diesel.
