Park has a number of safety lock outs for park.

Don't remember what a Ford Fusion has, but it may help to push on the brake pedal or jiggle the steering wheel. By removing the shift console cover, you will be able to see the lock outs.

They often run between the ignition and shifter, but can be electrical solenoids instead.

They can be disconnected quite easily as well. But then it will be easier for the car to come out of park if you leave it with the engine running.

den y r u gong to park for leave in neutral and put briks on the tyre

Are you parking on a hill? Not using the emergency brake perhaps? If so all cars will do that, the hill will put tension on transmission selector. If that is your scenario - next time when you park the car, put the emergency brake on before you put the car in park, and then it should work better.

If that's not the case perhaps your linkage needs adjustment, bring it to a professional.

before you do anything check transmission fluid if ok the best to take to transmission shop to have it checked
