Any auto parts store will have repair books. They will even order the right one for you if they don`t have it.
For theory (2/4 stroke cycle, basic ignition, power transfer, etc.) any entry-level auto shop text. For specific systems, torque specs, etc., what Sonny said.
Google should be full of possibilities, if not try the local library.
Can anybody recommend a book that teaches how to repair cars? I have little knowledge of cars and cant really do anything more than change oil.
