How to quickly disable a motor for later use?

haha sorry .....He most likely disconnected the connection to your ignition coils or distributor depending on the year of the car or even a fuse from the fuse box! ......but i would go with the fuse box i dont think he would risk flooding the car with gas if he is a tech, good luck !

Probably just unplugged a wire. Thoroughly check every wire or cable looking for loose ends. Everything needs to be plugged in somewhere. He probably did something simple, it's just finding it.

You don't need to leave, I'm a mechanic too. You can call me anytime your husband's not around and I'll get your motor running. ;-)

Go to a marriage counselor of "Dear Abbey"! We don't need to hear about your relationship problems!

He'll only find a different way. The problem is not with the car but with the relationship.

I would suspect fuel pump relay or fuel pump fuse. You can borrow a less important relay or fuse to get going.

My husband & I had a fight, & I wanted some space from him, so I went to sit in my car. He came out to continue the fight. I got out, & started walking away. When he saw that I had taken the only set of keys, he did something to the motor. (He's a mechanic, & I'm clearly not even close, but I saw him from around the corner with the hood up.) I went back after he had gone inside, & the car wouldn't start! Wtf did he do? I got after him, & he fixed it right away. If he's going to be sabotaging my only means of transportation, I need to know how to fix it...

(Keeping in mind the car turned over, but wouldn't start, & he is an automotive mechanic, so hopefully he wouldn't do something to do long term damage to the vechile, knowing we would have to pay for it.)

Please no comments about how I should leave his ***, there are multiple reasons why we are still together, & multiple reasons I am debating leaving.
