Always keep your oil up to the full mark. Check the users manual and make sure you are using the correct oil weight. There are oils sold for high mileage cars. You could try some of that.
As long as it isn't smoking or mixed with coolant, should be fine. No reason to tear into it.
Mobil1 is a better 5W-20 choice. Fill your crankcase to the full mark when you change the oil and filter.

07 elantra 95xxx miles. I put 5w20 synthetic blend motor oil valvoline and in 5000 miles it was little above low. I filled it back to half mark and now its 8000 miles and it is barely above low. Is this normal? No black smoke or oil leaks are visible on the ground. Have had the same thing happening on 05 elantra 90xxx miles.
