I think that putting money for a job like that for that kind of car probably wouldn't be worth it. Defiantly wont see a return on the investment save the money you would spend on the repair and sell it for a $1000 while it's still operable and put it in to another ride. The repair if were talking about you taking in somewhere would probably cost about $800 bucks most places get about $100 bucks per hour plus parts

I have 1988 Toyota Tercel and all these cars seem to have the bad valve seal plague. It literally smells like a 2-stroke when it runs. Also when the engine heats up its starts to kick and sputter violently. My question here is how much would it cost to have the valve seals redone and why does it sputter and lose power when heated up? Is it worth fixing? Or should it join all the other Tercel's in the grave lol
