Well I'd say Petroleum engineering will make you bank. Chemical engineering is a little more rounded, as well as mechanical and electrical. Stay away from anything bio civil or environmental.

Hey and other guy says learn the ropes like it is a shmeeze, it takes like 20 years before you've seen everything and actually know the ropes. So... just get your BSC for now and reserve dreams of grandeur for later.

The one that makes you happy. Seriously, "best" is subjective. Go with what you love.
If you don't have love for engineering, don't go to school for it - you'll end up a bitter, unhappy person.
