FOBS, not fogs. You failed to mention the make, year and model of vehicle, the answer would depend on that.

I think that limit is on how many different fobs you can have working at the same time. There is only so much memory available in the remote open module.

The limit refers to how many you can have programmed at once, not how many times you can program a remote to your vehicle. If you need a replacement key fob for your vehicle please check us out at

yes depending on model that is the total number at one time the dealer can clear out old ones to make room for the new one

Keys 100 each plus program fobs 50.00 each plus program

around 50,00 for each

check with a local locksmith the are about half the cost

When I bought my new car several years ago I was given 2 fogs and two transponder keys. Those two fogs eventually broke and I discarded those two fogs.

Last year I bought 2 new fogs (this would be my 3rd and 4th fog) for my car. Both new fogs were programmed into my car. I lost my 3rd fog recently. I’m on my 4th fog and it is does not work well sometimes. My fogs unlock/lock the doors and sets the anti-theft system (if a burgular tries to start the car---the horn sounds and lights flash).

Questions

1. Can I buy two new fogs at the dealership??? I’m not sure if I can, because I have read cars can only have four fogs programmed on the car computer or something.. and I believe I have read, old fogs can not be erased from the car computer’s memory or something. This makes me believe I can not buy two new fogs from the dealership because my car’s computer memory will not erase my old two fogs (fog 1 and fog 2) I broke and discarded, and my car’s computer memory will not erase my two current fogs (fog 3 and fog 4). This would mean my car’s computer fog memory is full and will not add two new fogs (fog 5 and fog 6). My car’s computer memory will have fogs 1 through 4 on it, even though fogs 1 and 2 computer codes are no longer accepted by my car’s computer. Only the fogs 3 and 4 computer codes are recognized by my car’s computer, because those fogs (fogs 3 and 4) are the current programmed fogs on my car.

2. please explain the answer and explain the solution to my problem.cost?
