Accidentally put SAE 30 non detergent oil in car engine?

That shouldn't be a problem.

Actually, you should have the oil changed. SA oil is remarkably bad stuff. Check out the source and decide based on what it says.

The last person that did this is serving 5-7 yrs in Fed prison.

Don't worry about it. No harm, no foul.

Oh jeez, you are such a putz. Everyone that's everyone knows that you only put 10W40 non-detergent oil in a Chrysler. How else is it supposed to maintain that lovely shade of blue/gray smoke out the tailpipe?

I didn't realize it was not for automobiles. I have a slow oil leak on my 95 Chrysler Concorde so I bought a bottle of SAE 30 non detergent (the back says API SA) motor oil from the dollar store and put in less than half a quart. Is this bad? I drove it once since then and it seems to run fine. Should I have an oil change done or is it ok as long as I don't put anymore of this oil in? It's high mileage by the way (nearing 200,000). Thanks
