triskaidekaphobia is not uncommon. 13 in itself is not evil - just another number
think of it as 1101 in binary if you do not like 13.
(but stay away from 666)

There is nothing evil about 13...it's just the number between 12 and 14. Any operation involving numbers can cause it to "pop up", get used to it!
The origin is probably from the fact that 13 people were seated at Christ's last supper. It is still considered undesirable to seat 13 people for a meal.
While lower numbers do "pop up" more frequently than higher numbers, the number 13 does not "pop up" more often than 12, and pops up only a tiny bit more often than 14.
Probably you are so "allergic" to your un-favorite number that you just notice it more than the other numbers that come up with similar frequency.
What proof have you got that 13 represents evil?
Shake yourself out of that silly assumption and join the real world.
As you won't be able to remove the number 13 from anywhere, better you remove that mistaken belief from your mind.
