There is more to a pool than a hole in the ground full of water. You will need a circulation system to filter the water. You will also need to control the water quality. That is a lot of work.
Get a membership at the YMCA. It will be a lot easier in the long run.
It would be less expensive to pay for a real pool.

I am very serious. Please help me find a way. Can I buy a great big metal tub of some sort and dig a great big hole in yard and put it half way underground and buy a great big piece of viny and lay it inside and hang it over egdes and only have to buy a commercial filter? Where would I get a huge metal tub? Maybe 24 ft long so I can swim some laps. I am 53 yrs old and my kids are gone and I've wanted a pool since they were young so dog gone it I'm gonna have myself a pool. Help! Any realistic ideas would really be appreciated. I don't want a pond though. Thank you!!! (I know I can get a cheap small one but can't do laps and can't really even afford a small cheap one from walmart).
