Low fluid or bands need adjustment. This is a junkyard refugee. If tightening up the bands restores function, the days are still numbered. At least you'll save tow charges when you drive it to the shop for a rebuilt transmission.

need rebuilt transmission. yes a band but no adjustment for it . forward frictions burnt that's why no forward. find local shop at ATRA.COM for estimate to rebuild

yah Chevy's do that when transmission is shot , don't use reverse much that why it still works .can all ways drive backwards .l.o.l

It starts up and everything but when I go to drive it doesn't. I push on gas pedal but still doesn't move. Just sounds like it's reving up. However it does reverse fine. I heard since it's still reverses it could be fixed cheap. Help!
