Someone hit my car while I was in the shops and didn't leave a note?

See if the shop has any parking lot surveillance cameras.

But yeah, once with my old car, I was looking for a parking spot, and I found one, so I pulled into it. As soon as I started pulling into the spot, a pickup truck that was 50 yards away, laid on its horn, and started speeding down to where I was. I had finished parking, and when I got out, the driver was waiting. He gave me the finger and then sped off.

I told my gf "I guess he thinks I took his spot?" but clearly he was no where near the spot, I got there first. And he was going the wrong way, as the lane was 1 way.

Anyways, a couple hours later when I came back to my car, that guy had keyed it, you know, scratched a thin line of paint off all around the car with his key. Serious road rage, man.

Yes, you can contact your insurance company and put in a claim but you will likely have to pay your deductible.

In the UK, better if you pay not your insurance, your premium's will go up next year by a lot

Your comprehensive automotive insurance will fix the scratch and your insurance will not go up one dime!

I am quite annoyed! I parked my car in the car park of my local shops and came back and noticed a huge scratch at the front drivers side. Who ever it was didn't leave a note or anything. Is there anything I can do about this? Do I contact my insurance company?
