See if there is a fuse in your meter. Maybe you just blew the fuse. If no fuse or that doesn't work, you will have to buy a new meter.

the cheaper the meter the more likely to have dicrepancies. now if it'safluke meter then check the fuse in any model first, but if it's a fluke go see a elctronics repair shop, they are not cheap

Dude, you can buy these meters for like $9 at Harbor Freight, Walmart, and a thousand other places. Don't worry about fixing the old one. Throw it away and buy a new one for $9.

That would damage it. Best to buy another as repair is certainly more than a new one costs.

Most meters are protected by a fuse inside.
