Should the dealership remove the tint off my windshield?

Hi, I think the rule is it can't cover more than the top first 6 inches of the windshield. measure it.. if its like 7" see if you can just cut that inch off and still have a good graphic..

good luck

In many states, it's legal to have tint to the AS1 line on the windshield. Since you bought it almost a year ago, and are just wanting it removed now, you pay to have it removed.

A tinted strip at the TOP of the windshield is LEGAL in most states. Before you go making a fuss about having it removed, I suggest you find out what really IS legal in your state.

A huge amount of vehicles have the top of the windscreen tinted to stop glare from the sun and this is built into the windscreen..if this is one that has been fitted by a previous owner (one of the strips you stick on yourself) then it wouldn,t be a problem to remove if it was a problem for your inspection.

I think the tinted strip at the top of your windshield is fine and legal.

Sounds like it was an "urban" Escape, if you know what I mean. Since this is not factory, they can remove it, since it is just a film, and it must pass inspection for sale in your state, unless you are moving to a different state and have "in-transit" tags.
