How many quarts to fill empty transmission of transmission fluid.?

Yes, it depends on which transmission issue you have. For Automatic transmission fluid filling, your repair shop will recommend you about it and it may require up to 16 quarts of transmission fluid. So, you just visit a nearest Auto body shop to get all information you want.

HI, It depends on transmission and how the fluid got emptied. If you just drained the pan and replaced the filter and gasket then it would be about 3 to 4 qts. If you also drained the Torque converter it well be between 11 to 14 qts. Always check the level when done and running.

good luck

Are we supposed to know which transmission you have? Or did you want us to list the capacities for every transmission ever made? Cuz that'll take a few months to research.

Depends on the vehicle and transmission

Depends on the transmission. They aren't all the same.

The owner's manual will remind you to check the dip stick when the car is running but don't forget to use the hand/emergency brake and block the tires for gosh sakes.

Be careful. There is a difference between an empty dry transmission from the factory and just dropping the pan and changing the filter capacities. Read the specifications pages on the manual in the glove compartment

hey man ! it depends on the transmission ! some automatic transmissions are bigger and some are smaller ! tell us what kind of transmission it is !

Call a transmission shop and have a conversation about what you did to it, what it's installed in, and whether you have the correct dipstick installed correctly.

When you have it running see them to verify.

Follow their recommendations and add a cooler if they think you need to.

Precise questions get precise answers.

Vehicle make, model, year.

Automatic or manual.

Full drain or just what came out of the drain plug.

Also depends if you just dropped the pan & drained it, because some you stay in the torque converter & not drain out.

Ya know if you don't have the smarts to list the make, model, year and motor size so we know which tranny needs ATF...You should not be playing lube boy!!!

I usually plan on 12.

Depends on the make and model of your vehicle.

READ THE OWNERS MANUAL . . . . LOOK AT THE STICKER UNDER THE HOOD. JEES
