My van died while drivin?

my van died while drivin first the radio went put then the dash lights and then died. i kust the alternator replaced last year an i baught a new battery???

#1. Take the 12 volt battery to any store other than Auto Zone where new ones are sold. Ask for a free 15 second battery load test to see what the reserve amperage capacity is. Amperage spins starter motors not voltage.

#2. When a new or fully charged battery has been installed start the car. Touch the battery terminals with an inexpensive volt meter *set @ 20 volts. IF the alternator is charging properly the volt meter should read between 13.5 - 14.2 volts. Never buy electrical parts from Auto Zone!

#3. If the battery and alternator are OK change the fuel filter THEN take the car to the dealer and ask for an inexpensive fuel pressure test on the fuel rail pressure fitting. They will know what the fuel pressure should be.

#4. If you have no spark at the spark plugs you need a new crankshaft position sensor which sends TIMED electrical impulses to the ignition coil/s to fire the spark plugs.

You need to take it to the garage and get a mechanic to check what is wrong - no-one can identify the fault here from a very vague description.

Could be an Electrical or Computer failure... Take it into a Garage- to find out for SURE. :)

That's nice. Did you want to ask a question?
