For that time and price they better be respraying the whole car.
Just one panel? Should be a fraction of the time and cost. Like if they can't replace and respray one panel on a Civic in a day, find a different body shop.
If they are repainting the whole car, then it sounds more reasonable.
It's average. Disassembly, repair, sand, prime, paint and re-mount doesn't happen in an hour.
What are you talking about? Are you talking about painting a car? Well see, the thing needs to dry in a heated room. Why should they pay for the electricity/gas/oil/whatever to heat YOUR car. Yes, you pay for that too. You pay for the actual labor of painting. You pay for the paint.
1800 seems like a fair price for a quality paint job on part of the car. I don't know where this "scratch" is and how deep it is. I have no idea how much of the car they will have to sand and re-prime. Nobody here can tell you how much of the car actually needs to be repainted for a proper blend.
depends on what you are talking about but i would go around and see if anyone will do it for cheaper
There's a small dent and scratch on the back right corner of the car. It says that the cost of parts only totals about 100-200 dollars but the labor will take 32 hours and cost 1800 dollars. Is this fair?
