I put new pads and rotors on the front and now one side squeals?

Well, the anti squeal did nothing at all. I have drilled and slotted rotors with 2 piston ebc calipers and semi metalic pads. I talked to my local parts guy and we found that the caliper was bad so that had to be replaced, since then no squeal

Should have spent the extra dollar for the tube of anti squeal the parts store guy tried to sell you with the pads. Buy it, put it on the mating faces of the new pads. All will be well.

A simple brake cleaner does alot. Always spray down new rotors and brake pads with Brake Cleaner before installing.

What did you use?

need more info. if you used cheap parts then that is your problem.. If you used parts equal or better then oem recommendation then have you broke the parts in properly? can not really help you without knowing what you did or used.

cheap parts tend to make more noise.

noise is normal during the brake in period.

not using lube/anti squeak will cause noise.

miss matched parts will cause noise.

material in the pads can cause noise.

and there is a long list of others it could be. Without doing the brake job or at least knowing what you did and used can't do more then guess.

Is there not a product to apply to brake pads so they will not squeal?

New parts sometimes squeak a bit until they have bedded with the mating parts - Normal.

I put new rotors and brake pads on the front of my 2000 olds intrigue and now the drivers side squeals when I drive, when I put the old rotor on it stopped. So I put the new rotor on the passenger side and the passenger side one on the drivers side and still squeals on the drivers side. Any ideas?
