What's the cheapest garage that will fix a loose timing chain?

I'm looking for a garage that will do it for a few hundred bucks in Columbus, IN.

year, make, model, engine size, mileage...and I promise you'll get a good answer, otherwise not likely.

Some timing chains take 17 hours to do and involve $1700. in parts alone. The newer V6 engines with variable valve timing are starting to show up as a major headache as they get older. Timing chain engines are being marketed as "maintenance free" but it's turning out to be quite different, in fact many are less reliable than a timing belt system.

The only way to fix a loose timing chain is to replace it and the tensioner. If you can find someone competent to do that for $200, my guess is that you can also walk on water.

Try Sheister Sam's midnight auto repair and chop shop.

Try to search on line in your area and call whomever you have chosen. Then check on yelp on their feedback ratings. Not necessarily accurate but you have something to base on.
