Any other ideas of what could be wrong with my car. car is hesitating to go after stopped at a light and has white smoke

i have to agree with gi joe(never thought i would ever really type that) in the fact that if you took it to the shop for a head gasket change and you are now blowing white smoke(which is coolent burning if you didnt know) and having hesitation issues which could be linked to a compression leak. basically the shop didnt fix the problem as stated and therefore has to honor the agreement.

white "smoke" usually means a blown head gasket, or failed manifold gasket allowing coolant to get into intake manifold, in any case coolant in the the combustion chamber. when the car is cold open your radiator cap, if you see emulsified oil (looks like hot chocolate), likewise checkt o see if your oil looks that same way, if so, they didn't get the head gadket job done right (warped head)

White smoke = steam, black smoke =excess fuel, blue smoke = oil burning.

Take it back to the shop asap. They f'd it up real good.

my guess is valves

they did a head job with the gaskets, and replace the spark plug. The hesitation is on occasion but mostly when i have been driving the car for a while or when stuck in heavy traffic. I noticed it doesn't happen when the engine is cold. The white smoke comes out when i first turn the car on then disappears, but if the car has been running for a while and is hot, the car has constant smoke and starts to idle. Help i dont want to get screwed over!!
