Simple answer...To make it portable.





A little bit of liquid makes a LOT of vapour. To transport it as a vapour the container would be massive and still have very little capacity.

That is a good answer, LPG occupies less space than the gas except at dangerously high pressure

Pressurized to a liquid state to be contained in tanks to allow for storage and for convenience of delivery by road and rail transport.

This allows gas to be supplied to areas where it cannot otherwise be piped from mains sources.

Liquid makes it compact to store & yet releasing pressure on it automatically turns it into usable gaseous form
