Which is more important?

Your "emergency brake pads" are also your rear service brakes. They are more important to the safety of the vehicle than changing the oil on your transmission.

E-Brake pads? There's brake pads, never heard of e-brake pads. I'd go with new brake parts first. Tire pressure light? Well, how about checking the pressure in your tires?

You transmission will probably take you to your next pay day so get your brake pads done first. If you put that off, you'll need to have more work done, ie. new calipers and drums re-done. A up-selling mechanic might be able to convince you that you need even more done, ie. master cylinder and the whole enchilada.

Get the transmission done first as repairs on them are FAR more costly than most brake parts. That said, if you have a friend, some basic tools, you can actually do the brake pad change yourself (I did and am VERY unskilled with repairs!). youtube has some great step by step videos that can help and brakes on most cars are NOT complex

Your emergency brake shoes are inside the rear brake rotors. Get them replaced first.

Saving your money!

I need to get my transmission fluid changed and new e-brake pads but I only have enough money for 1 of those jobs to be done then I'll get the other one done later this week but need to know which Is smarter to get done today? It's a 2007 scion Tc with 110000, and my tire pressure light is on as well
