Go to this link

Read down to graph and see for yourself. It's right from a major cold air manufacturer. If the throttle is at less than wide open, you get NOTHING.

Then click on the link to independent testing and watch the video.

When you're done, take the money you would have wasted on a cold air intake and treat yourself and your girlfriend to a night on the town.

Some do. K&N, Skunk2, other major tune parts manufacturers show dyno results from their kits fit to a car. Usually around 5-7~ HP increase depending on the vehicle.

If u get any power from it,it would be very minor power gains

by it's self it is pointless and useless. the gain is just not worth the money. you r not even going to tell the difference, other then giving the car a more throatier sound. if cold air intake, was put on in conjunction with something like a turbo or supercharge system then i would defiantly be worth it to put the money into one.

The car has a cold air intake on it already, to give max power and MPG. Unless other modifications are done, it is waste of money.

They increase noise, and give a possible 2% increase in power on it's own. For road use it is a waste of money.
