Whats better for magnatizing water?

a Alkaline Energy Flask or the Water wand? I found the 2 on this site

Magnets create a magnetic field that any passing ions coming within their field will react to.

If the magnets are put on static water in a bowl, nothing happens because there is no motion of the water or the ions in it. Most water we drink has some ions in it, like chlorine, chloride, calcium, magnesium, iron, silicon, carbonates etc.

If the water is flowing in a pipe containing these ions with the magnets surrounding this moving water, the magnets will influence the movement of those ions either to one side or the other depending on if they are negative ions or positive.

The trouble is, once these ions are separated by the magnet, they immediately recombine right back when it passes the magnet.

I used to be in the water softener business at one time, and I saw magnets trying to be sold for making water softer without using salt. Thirty years later...every one is still using salt and I've never seen a water system have it's water improved with just magnets.

I also was a chemist before I became a mechanical engineer, and I was very much involved in electrochemistry and obtaining minerals from seawater and desalination and such, and nobody

was using magnets. They can use direct current electricity to move minerals and decompose compounds in water, but not magnets by themselves.

Even in pure water, H2O , the oxygen is paramagnetic which means it is slightly influenced by a magnetic field. But being influenced (causing some motion) and actually removing impure compounds from water just with a constant magnetic field doesn't hold "water", at least what I know of it.

I'm one of the few engineers out there who doesn't discount any idea, so maybe someone has made magnets that can clean up water, but I would be very interested in seeing the science behind an idea, and not just a claim. There is a guy selling water machines that he claims cures cancer just by drinking it because he says water is "dead" because the bond angle between the hydrogens and the oxygen is down to less than 104 degrees and that his machine increases that bond angle to 114 degrees which gives the water special qualities.

In chemistry I learned , certain things can happen and certain things can't. Bond angles are pretty set between any compound at a certain temperature. You might be able to increase the bond angle of water to 114 degrees, but you would have to drink that water at about 375 C to get that. So I know this machine is a fake for now. Maybe in the future..who knows...but right not that doesn't happen with that technology.

Same goes for magnets. If a device is very effective, it quickly gets in the mainstream. Just like cell phones, they worked, people liked them and quickly replaced their landlines.

You CANNOT magnetize water, the website is a scam. You may get many more opinions but science is not about opinions. We don't do science by opinion polling.

If anyone thinks water can be magnetized, lets see your scientific evidence. Your opinion does not apply as evidence. Describe the physics.

A magnet may have influence on water molecules, but when you remove the magnet you will find that the water is not magnetized.

Water cannot be magnetized.

What you are looking at is a scam.

Water cannot be magnetized.
