What's the best way to clean catalytic converter for 2008 Chevy suburban?

There's only 1 way and it's risky. You disconnect a spark plug and run the engine at 2,000 RPM. The disconnected plug loads the cat with fuel and the excess heat burns out any carbon.

It can also destroy the cat.

Other than that, nothing. Do NOT follow the advice to pour lacquer thinner or MEK in the gas. That'll destroy the rubber components in your fuel system.

If the converter is plugged or damaged no. If it is not completely plug there is a chance. I have had mixed success using Mechanic Scotty Kilmer method. (

if you got the clean exhaust filter light turned on get it on the highway and run it at 60 or better for 20 minutes

There is no cleaning the interior of a cat., if it's plugged, it has to be replaced or cut out.

why, did you get mud on it ?

you can't you just replace them.

It doesn't need to be cleaned so forget about it.
