Energizer and the other makes of classic Alkaline batteries do not make the best NiMh batteries. NiCd are history and only still legal for use with cordless drills because Cadmium is a hazardous material. The best NiMh batteries are Sanyo Eneloop. You will find several independent reviews to that effect. But it is critical that you use a good charger since most chargers destroy NiMh batteries by over charging them. You can not buy a good charger at most retail outlets due to marketing dominance. After all, a good NiMh battery and charger is not good for sales. A good charger charges each cell separately and does not keep charging when it us full.

Ikea is like most house branded cheap knockoff crap. Generally speaking it it cheap housebranded knock off crap made in China and sold at a huge markup. if you want quality batteries buy quality if you want cheap crap buy house brand if you are buying rechargeables and don't want a fire buy quality.
I had Ikea Rechargeable Batteries. Two died and wouldn't charge after a few weeks, the others lived on no problem. These batteries are hit-or-miss.
PLEASE READ: I have read a lot of views saying the products are defective and suck, then some reviews say they are good. I have been mainly interested in the ENERGIZER RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES AND CHARGERS, however, have heard mixed reviews and i may just go with Ikea branded ones. Any opinions or comments will be appreciated :)
