Car Problem! Needing Quick Answers?

When you took the battery to Autozone it was dead, they shouldn't have tested it until it was charged. They tested it anyway and told you it was bad but it wasn't. So they sold you a battery you didn't need and now the bad alternator in your car has failed to keep the new battery charged and it(the new battery) has gone dead as well. You probably need a new alternator.

Just for future reference, never remove your battery, alternator, or starter from your car and take them anywhere for testing, it's far easier and more accurate to test all the components while they are still in the car. Most small shops will do it for free or very little.

All those words.....and it comes down to your door locks not working, you removed the battery and took it to Autozone. Not good: how are they supposed to check your charging system??? Your battery could have been dead because of a problem with the alternator, regulator.....or just a fan felt.

What else am I supposed to say???? It quit. That's it. Simple as that. No clicking, no attempting to start, it is DEAD. It did it yesterday before we replaced what was supposedly a dead battery.... No clicking like a normal dead battery, just simply fast beeping and nothing else. That's all I got...

You've got a long story that is slack on facts, in fact there are no facts in the question. How would you expect anyone to help when all you have said is it quit again.

My husband and I have been having issues with our 2002 Chrysler Sebring. Almost two months ago, we had some recurring issues fixed that came with the car after we bought it. It was running smooth, and still is, but after an oil change, in less than a month, it nearly emptied. We found out it was because of 4 different leaks, which due to the possibility of leaking onto the timing belt, are threatening the life of our car. We are scheduled to have that fixed on Saturday, but, a new problem has risen and we have no idea what it is....

Yesterday, when we came home from town and parked as usual, we both tried locking the doors, but they wouldn't lock. This is very unusual, so we tried turning the car on and back off to see if that would help... It wouldn't come on at all. We took the battery out and to Autozone, where we had it tested and were told it was bad. We then purchased a new one, everything seemed fine. Until now, my husband got to work, parked, and the car quit again. What is happening!?

This is just extra stressful, and I am trying to do research to find out what I can before it's time for him to come home from work. I am just wondering what this could possibly be, and if the problems could be linked... Thanks in advance
