Hi wil wreck a new diesel engine with direct injection system only a very old cast iron lock engine could cope with using anything other than regular diesel or bio diesel.
Pro: it's cheaper.
Con: You save even more money by not driving while you're in jail for excise tax fraud.
(There are probably also fuel additives in automotive diesel fuel that aren't present in home heating oil.)
You have to pay duty on it and most modern diesel engines will not last long running on heating oil. Same with JetX.
I know some one that ran lorries on heating oil, during the fuel shortages, but they had duty to pay on it.
would you be able to run your diesel car of heating oil? Would it damage anything etc? Pros and cons? Please & thanks!:)
