Was this a reasonable labor price for brake job + more?

Most brake jobs are about an hour per axle. (Two hours for that)

The tail light is maybe a quarter hour (depending on car)

Oil changes are usually a flat rate but if you supplied the oil and filter, I would expect another 1/4 hour.

That being said if you supplied all parts, and paid labor only, that's 2 1/2 hours. At 60-80 an hour, you should be charged 150-200. 220 would be the extreme end if they have a high labor rate or you have a complicated repair for the tail light.

By the way, a disc IS a rotor. You mean pads and rotors, I assume.

You actually got undercharged. I'd love to know where you went

I am a mechanic and i would have charged the same that was a fair price.

Go back every time. And take me with you!

yes

I brought in the parts and they just did the labor.

Charged me $220 for:

Oil change

Front + rear brakes. Discs and rotors.

Replacing broken tail assembly.

Want to know if I should go back next time. Thanks!
