Teaching someone to drive stick while needing an oil change?

As long as the oil Isn't low It will be fine.

Not to mention the clutch and transmission damage that could result.

A delayed oil change won't affect much of anything. It's a minscule wear increase after tens of thousands of miles. And it's unrelated to shifting a manual, even if it jerks on the engine a bit. Change the oil when you can, but don't worry if you have to teach the guy to drive stick before that time.

it definitly will not help your engine. u can get your oil changed for $30. have them pay for the oil change in exchange for u teaching them how to drive with your car. now, if u r just barely over 3000 miles or whatever your car requires for oil changes, no biggie. u could go another thousand miles. hint, if your friend cant drive a stick, and you r worried about wear and tear on your car- stop using your car to teach them. u probably arent a millionaire. crappy driving with a manual transmission can cause alot of damage to your clutch and transmission, let alone engine and brakes.

I want to teach my friend how to drive stick but I'm in need of an oil change. I just wanted to know if having the car stall a bunch will hurt anything because it needs an oil change?
