Is my truck totaled from water damage?

What is the difference between the pond, and say a strong downpour all day while you drive on the freeway.

The only difference is that it got into the cab. Electrical stuff can be replaced. And seats usually are shampooed using water and soap when you clean the inside of your car, so not much difference.

. They may write it off and they may not. The insurance is going to take the cheapest route...because that is what insurance does...and it depends on your coverage.

IMO

The insurance company will clean it. But it'll never be the same. You'll have constant electrical issues. This vehicle should be totalled.

Probably totalled.

Going to have to completely disassemble the vehicle and clean everything. As in every electrical connector, piece of cloth/interior, replace all electronics that got wet... basically rebuild the whole thing.

If water got in the cylinders you MUST pull the plugs and turn it over or it will soon rust and seize up. The sooner you disassemble the better.

Your insurance company will total it. You can buy it back very inexpensively and disassemble everything, clean it and put everything back together. *I have done it successfully!

I am thinking will be totaled.

I ran my truck off the road into a pond. It's a 2010 Toyota tundra. Water got up to the bottom of the dash in the interior. My power seats won't work, my touch screen nav/radio won't work, speakers make a constant humming sound, water was about halfway up the motor, haven't tried to start in case water got in the oil or motor. Insurance adjuster is looking at it Monday but I'm curious as to what to expect.
