Clanking noise coming from under the car help?

This can be a few things. Maybe they didnt tighten down the control arm bolts all of the way or they tightened it down while the car was off the ground so the bushing is getting pinched (which can cause a click). Here is a video explaining more about that:

Something was not reinstalled properly by the mechanics who did the work. Yeah look underneath and open the hood and look around inside the open hood to see if you can see anything that looks out of place.

Take it back to the same shop and the same mechanics. Tell them your woes and they will fix it for free (because it never should have left the shop half fixed) That is NOT what you PAID for the first time.

Be adamant about it. " If I wanted to break my car, I don't need to pay you guys to do it. I am fully capable of breaking it myself."

If you'd drop to your knees open your eyes and look underneath you might see the stainless steel heat shield dragging on the ground under the catalytic converter.

I have a mitubishi lancer es 2005. A week ago I got my left control arm changed, my tires balanced and an alignment. Today my car started to make a weird noise when breaking and accelerating without turning The noise is not constant, but when i do hear it, it seems to be coming from right under the pedals. The noise sounds like a clanking noise. What could this be?
