Car starting problem help!!?

You need three essential things to happen within an eternal combustion engine for it to run.Gas,spark, and compression. To properly diagnose the problem you need to make sure all three are occurring. What's it do when you try to start the engine?

You could try taking the spark plug out after trying to start it and see if the plug has fuel on it or not.Keep me updated.

yeah, what thomas said, and change the fuel filter and blow through the lines to get the stagnated fuel out. but run tests for spark. recheck your work, use motorcraft parts. sometimes aftermarket parts are no good in such a way as to cause a no start. verify each plug fires by removing it, grounding the outer electrode, cranking the engine, and making sure theres a hot orange spark on each one, the gap is correct. they are the correct part number. sometimes a shot of fresh gas or carb spray will start an engine momentarily to demonstrate that the gas is the cause or at least the area to run tests. take a fuel sample and smell it.

verify fuel pump runs, verify fuel pressure is up to spec. and it holds rest pressure. use a test light and verify the injectors are working or listen to them as they are supposed to be working.

run the trouble codes and see if one or more are set. clear them. write down what they were. see if they reset and get stored again. to add to what dave said above its an internal combustion engine and you need to have spark, fuel, compression and timing... suck squeeze bang blow. if you lose spark, the pcm may cancel the fuel pump for safety. see what you find from the previously mentioned things and you should have enough info to need a proper service manual, some test equipment and or a technician.

Install fresh gas

Drain all old gas from tank. Install fresh gas . Install Sta-bil - follow instructions .

1998 mustang v6 sat for 4 years, I changed oil spark plugs spark wires and just got a new battery.. I am receiving gas to the engine. But maybe not enough I'm thinking its spark not firing in the engine or not enough gas getting to the engine.. Please answer..
