Car is hard to steer?

The belt is supposed to be dry bud. Add power steering fluid to the power steering reservoir, if it's low it will make a churning noise, and be difficult to steer, if the belt is too loose it will slip and make a squeeling noise. It's probably low on fluid, and also leaking and making a mess.

You lubed the belt?!

Go to a wheel alignment shop. Something is severely worn in your car. Ask them to check and give you an estimate on the cost of repairs of what HAS TO GET FIXED.

. You want to fight with the mechanics?

. There are other customers that won't give them the hassle. They do NOT need your business.

So it is "FIX IT YOURSELF" They are not obligated to fix it.

You lubed the belt? You NEVER lube the belt. That destroys the belt. Take it to another shop and this time don't start a fight.

My car has been having steering problems. The power steering is filled up to the max line. And it's still tough to steer. When I lube up the belt on the motor it's much easier to turn the wheel but gets hard again very fast. I took it in to get checked out but I got into an argument with the shop owner but he said he lubed something up and the steering was fixed for a couple weeks then got tough again.
