ADVICE NEEDED!! Oil Pressure light keeps popping on and off, is it low oil pressure or is it a bad oil sensor? Car runs

On a 15 year old car the chances are that it COULD be low oil pressure bt then again it might be a faulty sensor.

I presume you have checked the dip stick (if the car has one) to see if the problem is low oil level.

Spend 20 bucks on a new sender/sensor and find out.

That's it.

End of story.

Or pay a mechanic $100 to check it out, and if it is a bad sensor, you will still have to replace it.

How many times do you plan on asking the exact same question? Just wondering. You've already gotten good answers. Or do you want someone to come over there and diagnose it for you?

for the most part she got the best answers (Very good diagnostics) 2 hours ago. I think she wants someone to buy it for her and replace it for her. "If you don't like the answers (2 hours ago) that would fix your car then pay a shop to fix it"

I just bought a 1999 oldsmobile Intrigue and my engine oil pressure light keeps popping on and off. The dude I bought it from had a mechanic look at it "the oil pressure is fine." The car runs smooth makes no noises, just that light keeps popping on an off, is it the oil sensor or does my car have low oil pressure. Can someone give me advice?
