I would say if your a casual person clean your once every three months if your a gamer or professional and want your pc to be "fresh" clean it once a month this involves taking the side panel off and cleaning the dust out. Thats about it other than you may need to clean greasy or oily things off use rubbing alcohol.

Defragments it now and then . Personally I do it each two months ( I don't move many files / folders).
Run the anti-virus now and then too (once a month personally), with Malwarebytes anti-malwares and adwcleaner as well.
