Is double major in computer science and computer engineering allowed?

Yes its possible. However it depends on your university.

Im currently working os my BS in Electrical engineering, but my university did not allow me to double major with computer engineering :( even though 100 and 200 level courses for EE and CE are exactly the same with 30 or so more units I would double major :/ (this was allowed 2 years before I started school too)

I'm at a Cal State school so there are a lot of budget cuts, and my school wants people to graduate as soon as possible. So check with your University.

Yes. While there is plenty of overlap, they are different enough that it will be challenging to get both degrees within 4 years.

Now a dual electrical engineering and computer engineering degree, on the other hand, is usually not allowed since they overlap so much that getting one would have you extremely close to having the other.

Yes, it is. My roommate is doing that.

There are many overlaps easier.

It should be. Our university (BRAC University) allows it.
